United Airlines offers non-stop service every Saturday from Newark/New York to Saint Lucia on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft departing Saturdays from New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), the service will commence on July 13, 2013. The service provides convenient connections at Newark Liberty to 22 key US cities including, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, D.C., as well to the major Canadian gateways of Ottawa and Quebec.
American Airlines flies daily from Miami.
US Airways flies once a week from Charlotte NC on Saturdays. They also fly from Philladelphia twice a week on Fridays and Saturdays until April 29.
Delta provides service from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport by the following schedule for 2013: Jan 1 to 6 (daily), Jan 7 to Feb 10 (Mon, Sat, Sun), Feb 11 to 17 (Thurs - Mon), Feb 18 to June 9 (daily), June 10 to Aug 11 (Fri - Wed). These flights all land at Hewanorra International Airport in Vieux Fort.
Jet Blue commences a 5-weekly flight schedule from Jan 1 until Jan 10 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This service reduces to 3 weekly flights from Jan 13 - Feb 14 on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. The 5 weekly flight services recommences on Feb 17 and runs until Sept 5th all from New York's JFK.
During the peak season, between mid-November and mid-March, a number of tour companies operate charters from London, Toronto, Milan and various Caribbean destinations.
Air Canada, commences service from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Saint Lucia on from Jan - April twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
Westjet has service between Toronto and Saint Lucia on Thursdays and Sundays.
Canjet opeartes a service between Toronto and Saint Lucia on Sundays from Jan - April 17.
British Airways has daily non-stop service between London Gatwick Airport and Hewanorra International Airport.
Virgin Atlantic flies to the island three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Condor provides service from Frankfurt, Germany to Hewanorra International on Fridays until April 29.
LIAT offers an extensive service for regional travel and connections to international destinations.
Air Caraibes offers a daily service between Martinique and Saint Lucia.
WinAir provides access to Saint Lucia from the more northern islands as well as the Netherland Antilles. Being relatively new, a steady schedule has not yet been adopted.
Air Antilles Express offers flights between Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint Lucia on weekends.
There are two (2) airports on the island: Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF) is located 40 miles south of Castries and George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) which adorns a pleasant coastline on the outskirts Castries.
Flying times from major cities
Departure Tax of EC $68 (US $26) for all passengers over 12 years is applied to ticket prices at the time of purchase.
Taxis are readily available from the Hewanorra airport to Castries and the north of the island. Public transport is an alternative, however, passengers must walk their luggage to the main road. The trip to Castries will cost approximately $8.00 EC, but it will take twice as long to get there than by taxi.
